Hot Stone Therapy Course

8 CE Course $250 9am - 6pm Duck, NC - NOTE: This course is an abreviated version of the two-day course.
Course introduces student to the modality of hot stone massage. Course instructs on application, implementation and execution of integrating hot stones into a current massage practice. Interaction and practice with hot stones throughout the course, as well sanitation and safety practices.
Teacher Training I - Basics of Course Design

An introduction to the skills needed to design courses and instruct others
8 CE Course $250 9am - 6pm Greensboro - outlines the application steps to become an approved provider, school instructor or workshop facilitator. Learn the various learning styles and methods for presenting course materials. Learn the structure/logic, application and creation of an effective lesson plan, utilizing all 3 learning styles. Design a draft of a 3-hour course/workshop, including elements to establish credibility, guidelines, set expectations, create a safe learning environment and present a portion to the class for feedback.

Ethics - Mastering the Client Experience
with Lydia Rentz Whitley
4 CE Course $135 12 - 4pm Greensboro, NC - Course expands student’s communication skills for some of the common conversations necessary in running a successful, ethical practice. Students will identify current scripts and design, practice and evaluate how to deliver newly designed scripts for intake, opening & closing the session, obtaining informed consent. Students will create and practice delivering scripts to cover a variety of situations, so that intentions are fulfilled and misinterpretations avoided. Participants will learn about and practice different skills for crafting booking conversation to increase the number of rebooks and client retention. Participants will obtain constructive feedback following presentations. Each student will leave with clear policies and practices and with the skills to educate their clients about these standards.

Exceptional Foot Massage
with Lydia Rentz Whitley
8 CE $250 9am - 6pm Fayetteville, NC - expands student’s knowledge and skills in the area of foot massage. Identifies indications & contraindications for feet, as well as the history of foot massage. Instructs on advanced foot massage, as well as the essential oils that improve the effectiveness of the session, basic stretches and an overview of reflexology (within our scope of practice). Ample opportunity to practice new techniques, to ensure clarity of skills learned and comfort in providing an exceptional foot massage.
Teacher Training II - Designing Powerful Courses

Expands on learnings from TTI Module
8 CE Course $250 9am - 6pm Greensboro - Prerequisite: TT1
Continues to develop a 3-hour course/workshop drafted in Module 1 into a 3-, 6-, or 8-hour course, designing to include elements to establish credibility, guidelines, set expectations & creating a safe learning environment. Update and expand lesson plan to include tools – discussions, journaling, meditation, presenting, lecture, exercises, quizzes, coloring, etc… Presentation training in delivering their welcome, introduction & course overview. Begin to design 1 section of the course they are creating. Present 1 section of the course they are creating to the class & receive evaluations from other students. Discuss and list multiple methods/tools for presenting course material & identify which learning style(s) are being impacted. Be introduced to, discuss and identify the basic structure of a syllabus.
Aromatherapy 101

4 CE Course $135 9am - 1pm New Bern - introduces and expands therapist’s knowledge of essential oils and aromatherapy. Overview of the history of essential oil use & aromatherapy. Focusing on lavender, peppermint & lemon, the most commonly used oils in massage & spa treatment protocols. Practice an essential oil massage protocol for overall wellness & relaxation.
Self-Care Practices

4 CE Course $135 2pm - 6pm New Bern - expands student therapist's knowledge and skills in the practice of self-care, and how it can benefit the delivery and longevity of their career. Class discussions on: stress management, goal setting and boundaries. Instruction on: basics of essential oils, meditation, breathing techniques, stretches, exercises and Qigong. Self-application, implementation and execution of self-care practices into their current schedule.
