Focusing on lavender, peppermint & lemon, the most commonly used oils in massage & spa treatment protocols. Practice an essential oil massage protocol for overall wellness & relaxation.
Self-Care Practices

4 CE Course $110 2pm-6pm Greensboro - expands student therapist's knowledge and skills in the practice of self-care, and how it can benefit the delivery and longevity of their career. Class discussions on: stress management, goal setting and boundaries. Instruction on: basics of essential oils, meditation, breathing techniques, stretches, exercises and Qigong. Self-application, implementation and execution of self-care practices into their current schedule.

This course introduces simple and inexpensive ways to use water to address chronic and acute health issues, from upper respiratory concerns, muscle aches or just overall immune support. Hydro is great for the therapist’s self care or as an addition to any client’s massage session.
Please bring bathing suit or shorts/sports top to participate in steam tent exercise.
Teacher Training III - Presenting Powerful Courses

Ethics - Integrity in Teaching

4 CE Course $110 2pm - 6pm Greensboro - Open to Non-Teachers
Course clarifies the ethical standards AP's must adhere to, and the Code of Ethics of the North Carolina Board. Participants will discuss and identify current NCBTMB standards and agreements for educators and approved providers. Participants will discuss the pricing, structure, facility, policies, practices, cancellations, registrations, and referrals offered by other continuing education providers. Participants will discuss the good & bad courses they have attended in the past. Participants will demonstrate proficiency in communicating and maintaining policies, achieving course objectives, and maintaining board ethical standards. Participants will practice boundary conversations for communicating and adhering to the policies they set. Participants will begin to create policies and practices manuals for the continuing education courses they wish to offer. Participants will apply the board standards toward designing a lesson plan timeline and the material of the course.

Ethics: Maintaining Boundaries with Clients

4 CE Course $110 4pm - 8pm Greensboro - Course expands students’ skills at defining and communicating boundaries with clients. Participants will list common conversations and situations where boundary scripts are needed. Participants will identify current scripts and evaluate current language used in client conversations. Participants will create and practice new scripts designed to communicate clearly and to enforce their policies and ethical standards. Participants will obtain constructive feedback following presentations.

16 CE Course $380 9am - 6pm Friday & Saturday Raleigh - introduces students to the modality of hot stone massage, types of stones, set-up and costs. Instructs on application, implementation and execution of integrating hot stones into a current massage practice. Interaction and practice with hot stones throughout the course, as well sanitation and safety practices. Participants leave with the confidence to immediately utilize their new skill.
Marketing 101 - Retention

Identify, dissect and analyze the status of present business and create an action plan to impact client retention rate. Create and practice with sales scripts for increasing prices with existing clients. Design a client retention strategy. Applicable for sole proprietors, for those seeking employment and/or currently working with a group practice/franchise.
